IPCC SRES B2 was used as datasets for the drivers . In the SRES B2 scenario, the world population is expected to grow continuously until 2100 and reach 10 billion. The increasing rate is very close to the latest “World Population Prospects” from the United Nations. In this scenario, the current level of GDP is projected to increase 3-fold by 2050 and 8-fold by 2100. The downscaled data presented from the Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN), Columbia University was used for the analysis  (see Figure 13.2).
