ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the climate change predictions, risks, and
guidelines for successful adaptation. It builds on Chapter 15’s
introduction to adaptation by providing guidance on how to
effectively plan, design, and make policy. It also serves as a generalized
introduction to the regional guideline chapters that follow, which
explore adaptation in sequentially greater detail and design relevance
for select regions.
