ABSTRACT
Currently, eight intelligences are being considered in many teacher education programs. Table 7.1 shows Gardner’s eight intelligences (1999) and presents an abbreviated explanation of each.
In sum, Gardner’s work relating to multiple intelligences demonstrates the need to diversify instruction to meet the students’ individual learning needs. It is essential, since students learn in different ways, that teachers utilize a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, and methods of instruction.
