ABSTRACT

There is a gentle wind summoning Canadian educators to deepen their practice of spiritual education. It is a wind sourced in the history of our country and aided by contemporary developments in educational theory. It is a wind that flows today over our corner of the global village. Carried within this wind lies a hope for educational renewal that meets the challenges of our age. To appreciate the significance of this wind we need to understand the socio-political-historical context for Canadian spiritual education.
