ABSTRACT
Before Howard Gilbert became headteacher of Soham Village College in 1999, he had been headteacher of Chesterton Community College, another SUPER partnership school, and had also been one of the initial group of headteachers to discuss the idea of a schools-university partnership. Howard had learned a great deal from these experiences:
