ABSTRACT
This chapter aims to explore the background to the Schools-University Partnership in Educational Research (SUPER) and in particular to explore the reasons for SUPER and for a research project in this area. The second half of the chapter provides a brief description of SUPER so that the reader can understand the context of the case studies that follow. A more detailed case study of the partnership can be found in Chapter 11.
