ABSTRACT
Every time a learner makes a comment or asks a question is an opportunity for you to use emotional intelligence in the way you respond. Depending on who they are and the nature of what they say, you may have the chance to:
• affect how they feel about being in that session; • determine if and how they will ever speak again in the session; • influence how they feel about themselves as learners; • influence how they view you; • influence how the rest of the group view you and the session; • confirm the kind of relationship you have with your learners.
