SKIN COMPLICATIONS14 Cutaneous or mucosal complications are frequent in renal transplant recipients. The lesions are mainly related to the prolonged use of immunosuppressive drugs, but an important contributing role may also be played by exposure to sunlight and viral infections. Cutaneous complications may be subdivided into cancerous lesions, lesions caused by drugs, infections, and miscellaneous lesions.
