ABSTRACT
Introduction In evaluating treatment of superficial bladder cancer using intravesical chemotherapy, this chapter will explore the pharmacological basis of intravesical chemotherapy, the mathematics of drug transport in bladder tissues, the optimization of intravesical therapy using a computational approach to compare drug exposure in different parts of bladder tissues, current additional investigational and novel agents, and perspectives on future research.
