Assessment (MoCA; Nasreddine et al, 2005).
Many will ask if there is ‘a blood test’ that can
detect AD; there is currently no such test
except for the rare families with early-onset,
dominantly inherited AD (see chapter 4,
‘Genetics’), although there is great interest in a
blood marker for sporadic AD with adequate
sensitivity and specificity (see chapter 5,
‘Biomarkers’).
