ABSTRACT
What is virtue ? Some have defined it as some kind of knowledge. This is correct inasmuch as the knowledge of good and evil does influence the right choice; if it did not, moral rules would be useless. None the less the knowledge of virtue is not identical with virtue, for people in possession of the same knowledge can differ in the strength of their inclination towards the good.
