ABSTRACT

Dermatology is an interesting field on many levels. For the new initiate,

the diversity of diagnoses is a formidable challenge. The array of treatments

we use adds another level of complexity to skin disease management. Yet within a few years, the skilled dermatologist becomes adept at making

the right diagnosis and choosing the right treatment within milliseconds

of seeing the rash. Making diagnoses and choosing treatments can become

routine and, perhaps, boring. Fortunately, real patients provide a bottomless

wealth of novelty and challenges.
