ABSTRACT
Technology around the world continues to progress in leaps and bounds. Individuals who did not have access to the Internet just weeks ago may have a smartphone today. The accessibility of seemingly infinite amounts of information globally at the click of a button is hard to fathom by some, but utilized hourly by others. Although this way of life is critiqued as cultivating device dependence and social isolation, millions of others treasure and use multiple forms of technology for business, education, displaying work, and socialization on a daily basis. Regardless of one’s views about technology, the insurgence of new technology over the past 20 years and its effect on the world is undeniable.
