ABSTRACT

In the past few years, the sport, exercise, and performance psychology (SEPP) field has grown among both academics and service delivery professionals. Additionally, the increased visibility of the field, as testified by the growing number of athletes acknowledging their work with sport psychology consultants (Clair, 2012; Clay, 2012), is of great importance. However, the field has a long way to go to affect the discussions regarding the best practices in academic or professional training paths (Quartiroli & Zizzi, 2011; Zizzi, Quartiroli, & Vosloo, 2007).
