ABSTRACT
The first chapter (c 1) presented an overview of global atmospheric As translocation and concentrations. While this is an important perspective, local and regional situations can be radically different from such global averages and demand much more specific attention. In 1998, a first attempt was made to obtain related data from the study area. There was no information available at that time, except for meteorological data provided by the Nova Lima station (c 7.3).
