ABSTRACT

With the excavation of mine the former equilibrium

of the primary stress in the raw mountains is gener-

ally disrupted. In order to get sufficient stability a

new state of balance will be formed gradually and

the mountain deformation will be also induced by

stress redistribution, which depends on the mining

dimension, cavity geometry and the rock mechanical

behaviour. Because of the mining in the mountain, a

specified volume of convergence will be generated,

which can be seen as the direct relationship between

the underground deformation and the surface

movement.
