ABSTRACT

Scholars of Qur'anic sciences have disagreed, as scholars in any discipline usually do, about numerous things. Various combinations of different sources, methodologies, personal opinions and biases, and personal skills have led to different conclusions. Still, the scale of the disagreement between scholars on the subject of abrogation makes it stand out. I am not talking here about the differences between the majority that accepts the concept of abrogation and the very small minority that rejects it. I am referring to the fundamental differences between the views expressed by those who believe in abrogation.
