Bricolage

The more we learned about bricolage, the more we found ourselves humming The Rolling Stones’ famous tune that illustrates the essence of bricolage – a connection between concocting some solution to a problem (or opportunity) in the face of inadequate resources. When an entrepreneur’s behaviour shifts to bricolage, his/her verse might go like this:

I can’t seem to access the resources I want (at this time).

But I must solve the problem ¹ before me (now).

So I’ll try new and varied uses and combinations of all that I can access readily . . .

And create a workable solution (for the time being)!
