We hope that the first two chapters will have helped establish guiding principles for your journey through the rest of Pure Sport. In the longer term, these same principles should help to mould a mental approach to sport that will help you explore the limits of your physical potential, whatever they may be. Now is the time to equip you with the tools that will assist you in this quest, and we begin by looking not forwards but backwards – asking you to reflect on who you are and what brought you to your sport in the first place.
