ABSTRACT
Engaging in dialogue with our chosen discourse community/ies means that writing for peer reviewed publication is an ongoing and career-long task. Writing a single article and getting it published is an achievement, but sustained writing is a hallmark of academic life; it is the way in which we engage with our peers close and distant, present and future. So one contribution to a scholarly conversation is just that — one contribution. In this final chapter, therefore, we want to address the question of writing with purpose and intent in and for the longer-term.
