ABSTRACT

We know how hard it is to find time to write. Despite all of the pressure to write, doing the writing is always balanced against teaching responsibilities, our duties to students and what seems like an unending stream of meetings and administrivia. We don’t recommend it, but we have found ourselves writing on weekends and in early mornings in order to keep up with the amount that we need to write, let alone read enough to position what it is that we want to write. In a sense this is the way that things are now done in the academy.
