ABSTRACT
This relatively concise bibliographical guide provides a short introduction to the enormous and ever-growing literature available on the history of Christianity. The list, of around 100 titles, has aimed to include not just those specific works of reference found most useful in compiling this volume, but also a selection of readily-available one-volume recent surveys of the history of Christianity, which readers new to the subject may find of value. Also included are some authoritative new books on areas of popular interest, such as the Crusades and the Reformation, now available in paperback.
