ABSTRACT
The Arab and African countries are linked by common features that can be traced back to the remotest periods of history. Islam was a factor without precedent in history for the unification of the peoples of the Middle East and the African continent. Both groups have been faced with similar problems; some of their peoples are still suffering from various forms of oppression and domination and many of them also suffer from underdevelopment.
