ABSTRACT
In this chapter, I first describe the origin and various theories of political economy. I then review its study methods and present empirical studies of political economy in forestry in various countries in their domestic and international contexts. Finally, I propose a list of a few potentially fruitful efforts in studying political economy of forestry.
