ABSTRACT

When the Democrats’ health care reform bill was signed into law in March 2010, Republicans in Congress remained uniformly opposed and polls showed that more people opposed the law than favored it. Democrats argued that health care reform was the law of the land and that citizens would soon see the benefi ts of insurance reform. But even after the law was signed, Republicans had one more arrow in their quiver. They contended that the health care bill passed by the Democrats in Congress was unconstitutional.
