ABSTRACT
As this book was going to press, the Doha Round of WTO negotiations came to an unsuccessful close, the fi rst round in the history of post-war multilateral trade diplomacy to ‘fail’. In this brief conclusion, we consider the implications of the Doha collapse for the future of the WTO, analysing the reasons for the impasse and what negative and positive lessons can be drawn.
