ABSTRACT
While Chapter 51 of BS 7671:2008 (Incorporating Amendment No. 1) still contains the requirements for external infl uences (see below), Amendment No. 1 has now been further developed in accordance with new ISO standards and the BS EN 60721 and BS EN 61000 series on environmental conditions:
“512.2 External infl uences 512.2.1 Equipment shall be of a design appropriate to the situation
in which it is to be used or its mode of installation shall take account of the conditions likely to be, encountered.
