ABSTRACT
This book was written to complement The Trouble with Maths: A practical guide to helping learners with numeracy diffi culties (Chinn, 2012 ). It looks at assessing and diagnosing learning diffi culties in mathematics and links those processes to the teaching philosophies and pragmatics in The Trouble with Maths .
