Focusing on treatment: the main interventions and their implications

In Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451, the main character, the ‘fireman’, is employed to burn books so as to discourage people to think for themselves. As one character exclaims, ‘If you don't want a man unhappy politically, don't give him two sides of the question to worry him; give him one. Or better yet, none’ (Bradbury 1997: 61).
