Yes, I feel that we [the International Cooperative Biodiversity Groups (ICBG)-Madagascar bioprospecting project] have done good work, even though at this point we do not have a drug to show for it. Probably the biggest benefit to date has been the establishment of the Montagne des Français as a protected area. There have also been numerous training activities and infrastructure improvements… in addition to the economic development projects funded by the upfront contribution. 1
