ABSTRACT

The Hare Psychopathy Checklist: Youth Version (PCL:YV; Forth, Kosson, & Hare, 2003) is designed to measure psychopathic traits in adolescents. Although not designed for any specific forensic purpose, because of the growing interest of the construct of psychopathy in many settings, it has increasingly been used in forensic contexts. The purpose of this chapter is to discuss the development of the PCL:YV, as well as its psychometric properties, utility, and limitations.
