ABSTRACT

Avoid ‘glamour’ poses that exaggerate the model’s charms like a publicity photograph of a star. Such paintings tend to look like caricatures. For the same reason, don’t exaggerate details like eyelashes, ruby lips, pink cheeks, painted fingernails or toenails. In fact, it’s usually best for the model to wear a minimum of makeup. In general, avoid all kinds of exaggeration. A nude figure in a natural, relaxed, harmonious pose is inherently beautiful.1
