ABSTRACT

Study of this chapter will enable the reader to:

coordinate utility services under public footpaths;

design suitable routes for utility services;

calculate the areas buildings need for services plant;

find the sizes of plant room needed for all services from preliminary building information at the design stage;

apply flexible connections to plant;

appreciate the need for coordinated drawings;

understand the use of services zones;

be able to design boiler house ventilation.
