ABSTRACT
The problem of employment has always been one of the main subjects in Harald Hagemann’s scientific research; for example, he has demonstrated that the reduction of the wage level cannot be a reliable way to reach a higher level of employment. The subject of my contribution is another problem related to the goal of a high degree of employment, namely: In which situation will the threat (or the fear) of inflation become a barrier on the route to higher employment and lower unemployment?
