ABSTRACT
Both the colour temperature of a light source (whether it looks cool or warm) and its colour rendering (whether it correctly refl ects the true colours of an object) can be measured. Its colour temperature is measured in ºK; one can say quite objectively that this lamp will distort colours, while that lamp will give no appreciable distortion.
