Why Are We (Still) Talking about Torture?
Every single day I think and read about torture . Some days I write about it, or teach about it. I can turn any social conversation to the topic within minutes. (Keep that in mind if we meet for coff ee.) I will be the fi rst to admit that my interest in torture, which has been building over several decades, is unusually intense. In this book I share some of the insights that thinking about torture all this time has yielded.
