ABSTRACT
Johanna is finally feeling comfortable in her new city. It has been three weeks since her first day of school, and she has made new friends and begun to enjoy herself. She is also happy about her new Kindle, which her mother had bought her a week ago to celebrate how well she was doing during her first extended time away from home. Johanna loved the Kindle. She already owned an iPad with a Kindle app, and she had been using the app to read books, but after a while the screen hurt her eyes. The Kindle was more like reading a book, and she enjoyed taking it on the bus to read on the way to class. However, she still carries print books in her bag because some of her textbooks aren’t available on the Kindle.
