ABSTRACT
Although they can stand alone as in the previous examples, more often than not these adverbs are accompanied by estimation forms, such as だろ う “I suppose” and かもしれない “it may be,” or adjectives of conjecture, such as はずだ “it is my understanding” and ようだ “it appears.”
