ABSTRACT
Ms. Lee is staying with a host family in Yokohama now. Today Ms. Lee went to a Tokyo department store alone for the first time. After trying on a few pairs of shoes on the first floor of the department store, she went to the electronics shop on the sixth floor and tried the newest type of notebook computer. Since she became hungry around 2 o’clock, she went to the cafeteria on the eighth floor and ordered sushi and udon noodles in Japanese. On the way out, she heard clerks in the basement grocery area saying “How about trying this sake?” “Please have a bite,” and so on.
