ABSTRACT
The Chinese economy has experienced the prosperity of high growth since 1978. Yet its high growth has also been accompanied by cyclic fluctuations. What are the features of cyclic fluctuations in contemporary Chinese economy? How does the government manage the economic fluctuations? How they are different from those of developed countries? These will be the topics discussed in this chapter.
