What Happened at Munich Is terrorism becoming a spectator sport? The bitter question had to be put during the extraordinary events at Munich." It isn't often that an estimated third of the world's population is watching, on television, what is happening in a stadium in a single city. The available publicity must have been a factor in the planning of the raid. It was also a factor in the physical and emotional responses to it. In Mexico City, before the last Olympic Games, there were demonstrations designed to attract world attention to a political situation. They were hurriedly and bloodily repressed so that the arranged events might occur.
