ABSTRACT
This chapter recounts my experiences of developing a cross-curricular study of a small village in northern England for children in Key Stage 2. The framework I outline could be applied to many other situations as it highlights the power of experiential learning, harnessing and developing the pupils’ powers of observation and developing their thinking.
