ABSTRACT

In so far as there were few alternative sources, the content has been widely referenced and has permeated the vocabulary of the field. For many authors it has been a reference point against which, often in critical terms, to situate their own work and alternative perspectives. It would be invidious to invite criticism and then cavil when it happens. Nevertheless, there were some fundamental issues about coaching domains, coaching effectiveness, research quality, coaching expertise and model building that we feel have not adequately been challenged or resolved since its publication.
