ABSTRACT

This chapter is dedicated to the late Captain Christian J. Hallman, Army officer, who died unexpectedly on 6 June 2011, while in the midst of co-writing this chapter. CPT Hallman served in Iraq between 2004 and 2005 with the 785th Medical Company, Combat Stress Control, and pushed the boundaries by utilizing alternative methods for treating combat stress. His colleague and co-author, Major Patrick Pischke, continued CPT Hallman’s unfinished draft and expanded and finalized the chapter. We salute CPT Hallman for his service to his country, his family, and his many military comrades. He will certainly be missed.
