Valuing and E/valuation

We live in a world obsessed with evaluation. New initiatives and programs are funded or implemented only when there is confi dence that they can be evaluated. Existing programs and initiatives can only be sustained if they receive a favorable evaluation. In education, healthcare, government, and business, evaluation and assessment have become not only commonplace but a taken-for-granted form of practice. To evaluate is to do “business as usual.”
