ABSTRACT
The personal computer has become an essential component of the electronic musician’s equipment arsenal, fulfilling the traditional functions of the computer in music for composition and scoring, synthesis and sound processing, control over external synthesizers and other performance equipment, and the sampling of audio and video input, and real-time video manipulation.
