ABSTRACT

Radio is all about people. When we think of the famous people in the world of broadcasting we

tend to think of television personalities – the faces we see on the screen and which cause us to double-take on those rare occasions when we see them in the street, in a restaurant or in an airport lounge. Yet there’s so much more than people on television; there’s music; there’s nature – landscapes and wild animals; there are cartoons and puppets; there are pop videos; there’s news footage; there are advertisements; there are test cards, credits at the end of the programmes and inventive graphics at the beginning.
