Normalisation and applied behaviour analysis: values and technology in human services: Peter McGill and Eric Emerson

Conflicts between normalisation and applied behaviour analysis are, in part, related to the relative emphases they lay on values and technology. While normalisation has primarily offered a system of values to underpin human services t applied behaviour analysis has focused on the development and implementation of an effective technology of intervention. This chapter explores the possibilities for using applied behaviour analysis within the nonnalisation framework and of viewing normalisation from the relative clarity of a behavioural perspective.
