ABSTRACT
The poem ‘my sweet old etcetera’ is discussed in relation to aspects of linguistic creativity with particular regard to structure dependency, morphology and ‘chain and choice’. Uses of language (as well as the poem itself) are considered: these include feminist choices,RastafarianEnglishand ‘anti-languages’.
