ABSTRACT
Some readers will be asking themselves, why bother with all this detailed advice and instruction on how to edit books? The future lies in electronic publishing. Indeed there does seem to be a great future. Latest estimates predict that in the next ten years, something between 10 and 30% of publishers’ turnover is likely to be realized through electronic publishing. That range is actually quite wide suggesting, still, great uncertainty about how electronic publishing will ‘bite’. Just how many buyers will there be out there for this kind of product?
